Forms: collect structured answers inside the chat
Build reusable forms and show them in the chat widget exactly when they're useful.
Updated
A conversation is great for questions, but sometimes you need a name, an email or a date in a clean format. Forms collect structured answers right inside the chat.
What's new#
- A Forms module. Build a form once and reuse it on any deployment. Question types include short and long text, email, phone, number and choice fields, plus new date and time fields.
- Several forms per deployment, each with its own trigger: before the chat starts, after a number of messages, after the visitor is idle, on a page area, when the conversation closes, when the panel closes, or from your own code.
- Frequency. Show a form once per visitor, once per conversation or every time.
- Blocking forms that must be submitted before the chat continues, for pre-chat intake.
- Conditions. Show a form only within a range of message counts, on certain page areas, or when the visitor's details are missing.
- Answers in context. Optionally share submitted answers with the agent, so it doesn't ask again.
Forms replace the single pre-chat intake form, which is now one trigger among many.
