# Skills: reusable instructions for your AI agents

> Package a procedure once and let any AI agent load it when a conversation needs it.

Every team has procedures it wants followed the same way every time. **Skills** package those instructions, and the tools they need, so any agent can use them.

## What's new

- **Skills** in the sidebar: create, edit, search and enable your workspace's skills.
- **A skill is** a name, a description, Markdown instructions and the tools it brings.
- **Two loading modes.** **On demand** skills are listed for the agent, which loads the instructions only when they're relevant. **Always in context** skills are added to every turn.
- **Attach skills to an agent** from the new **Skills** field on the agent, or pick skills for a single conversation in **AI Chat**.
- **Quality review.** When it's turned on for your workspace, each skill gets an automatic review with suggestions to make it clearer.
- **Built-in checks.** A skill needs real instructions, not a one-liner, before it can be saved.

The description matters most: it's how the agent decides a skill is relevant, so say what it covers and when to use it.
