# Upload photos and images in more formats

> Library and chat attachments now accept HEIC, AVIF and other image formats, converted for you.

Photos taken on a phone often arrive as HEIC, which many tools can't read. help.ai now converts images when needed, so you can upload what you have.

## What's new

- **More image formats in Library.** Upload JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, BMP and TIFF images. help.ai checks each image, converts it when needed and stores the result.
- **One stored file everywhere.** Previews, downloads and extraction all use the stored file, and the saved filename matches it.
- **Wide document support.** The upload picker accepts PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, TXT, Markdown, CSV and TSV, JSON, XML, YAML, HTML and EPUB.
- **Chat attachments too.** Images visitors attach in the chat widget go through the same conversion.

Your files upload as they are. Conversion happens on our side, so nothing extra loads in your browser.
