# Follow posts and merge duplicate ideas

> Portal members follow the posts they care about and hear when they move, and your team merges duplicate ideas so the votes add up.

Communities and ideas boards now close the loop with the people who post in them.

## What's new

- **Follow.** Signed-in members select **Follow** on a question, an idea or a post. They get an email when someone replies, when an answer is accepted, and when your team moves it to a new stage. Their account page lists everything they follow, with **Unfollow** next to each, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- **Merge duplicates.** In **Content**, open a duplicate's row menu and select **Merge into…** to pick the item you keep. Votes and followers move to the kept item, so the real demand shows in one place, and the duplicate links to it.
- **Changelog posts list the ideas they ship.** Pick them under **Ideas this ships** on a News post. The post lists those ideas, each idea shows the post that shipped it, and the ideas' followers get one email when the post goes live.
